About The Excellent Voice Company
First and foremost we're a service. We've hand picked our voice talent to ensure that they're experienced, easy to work with and nice to their mums. We listen carefully to every reel we get sent and before we take a voice onto our books, we meet them and get to know them, to make sure they think about the business in the same way that we do.
Secondly we're here to help. We take the problem of finding the right voice for the right project off your hands. If you've got a difficult client or an awkward brief, then save time by talking it through with us.
Finally we're a team. The office staff and our voices. We invest time in our talent, coaching them, sharpening their skills, adapting to the ever changing trends in the market and getting feedback on sessions. We cut all our showreels in house, we produce all our own demos and in return everyone knows the standards we work to. After all - we have a name to live up to.
Call us and find out just how friendly and efficient we can be.
Jon Briggs - Managing Director
Jon set up the XVC in 1995 on a dining room table with a yellow pages and a small Macintosh computer called Gerald. He's forty something and has been a professional voice artist, radio and TV presenter for over 20 years. From teaboy at the BBC in Oxford to Breakfast show anchor for BBC Radio 5 and now in demand as a conference host worldwide, he has a penchant for anything small and sexy with buttons on it. He means computers, but it doesn't stop him being given Barbie outfits. |

Pete Gold - Director
Pete was also the co-founder of XVC and is an accomplished musician, writing his own songs and playing guitar. As well as being an established voice over, he's also a stand up and sketch show performer with 3 Edinburgh Fringe festivals to his credit, and has the added advantage that people think he's standing up when he's still sitting down. He studied French at York University and will one day find a use for it other than wine lists in posh restaurants. |

Evie Taylor - Speakers Manager
Evie has worked in the entertainments, events and media industries since she was a mere teenager, and has spent the last three years focussed entirely on the voice over industry.
She has run studios and training companies, written scripts, produced and directed sessions and cast artists.
She’s as much at home singing and dancing with extra jazzy, jazz hands as she is at launching and developing divisions of companies! A business head on a “razzamatazz” pair of shoulders, and an Essex girl to boot! If you pop in, don’t be surprised to witness her sealing a deal whilst doing split runs throughout the office. |

Viv White - Bookings Manager
Viv has spent the last 10 years working with voice talent and studios. With a background in Newspaper deadlines and Event organising, she’s hot on time keeping. What she doesn’t know about casting and directing can be printed in very small print in a very tiny book called “What Viv doesn’t know about Casting and Directing”. Try not to flannel about when dealing with Viv – she’d prefer it if you just came right to the point – her bark is worse than her bite, and some people quite like being bitten…. |
